Q: What type of care do you provide?
A: We provide Respite Care for our residents, offering them a long term residence. This continuity helps them feel secure and that they have a home. It gives them peace of mind. We also offer Hospice Care on a limited basis.
Q: What services do you offer?
A: In addition to a beautiful home with private and semi-private rooms, we offer a professionally trained staff, medication management, healthy meals and snacks, daily activities, and a relaxed, pleasant environment.
Q: What services don’t you offer?
A: We are unable to assist bed-bound individuals, and cannot assist individuals with feeding tubes or major wounds. Residents may be incontinent.
Q: Where are you located?
A: Tranquility House is located in La Mesa, California, approximately 15 miles east of San Diego. We are located between the 8, 94 and 125 freeways, making us convenient from any direction.
Q: What are the future trends in Senior Care and how will Tranquility House meet the needs of the elderly?
A: People continue to live longer and are remaining active later in life than before. With the increasing popularity of the Internet with seniors, they are also more educated about more aspects of life than ever. Baby Boomers that are transitioning into their senior years will be the most independent generation ever to face dependency. Tranquility House staff will continue to engage in continuing education on elder care to ensure that our staff remains knowledgeable and current on all new developments and trends affecting elder care facilities and residents.
